Sustainable Village Experiment - Tierra Azul Gardens/Village

Interrelationship - Simplicity - Service

Tierra Azul Farm, La Mesilla, New Mexico

In La Mesilla, New Mexico, we have begun a pilot study farm that will be expanded to a larger farm/village later. The farm is *non-certified organic and will produce wholesome food for the Santa Fe community.

Currently we have 35,000 USD in pledges to buy the land necessary for the larger farm/village project.

If you would like to help in this endeavor, please donate:

*Noncertified organic - we will not seek USDA certification for organic status, yet we will apply techniques that are beyond the certification requirements for the USDA. (e.g. USDA certification still allows for use of some synthetic chemicals; and they are discussing including GMOs under the organic status) At each farmer's market we will carry our farm notebook which will be provided for customer review.

ORGANIC FARMING
One important aspect of simple living and self-reliance is meeting basic needs. Organic farming provides a sustainable and healthy way of feeding ourselves.
